Pet Grief Counseling
and
Coping with the loss your loved Pet

Pet Grief Counseling Collage

Grief over a pet can hit us hard,  just as when a member of our own family or one of our friends die. We can grieve very deeply when a beloved pet dies, or is dying, or is possibly "lost" and never found. As they say, "the more you love, the more you grieve..."

It's quite normal to grieve for a pet. It is a loss. The loss will be more keenly felt the stronger the relationship you had with your pet. Pets may literally be our substitute children ("fur children") especially if you have no human children.

They may be our very close companions if we live alone. And they may be best friends to our children. So pets are a important part of our family.

I have enjoyed having dogs and cats in my life through my life.   One afternoon when my children were young, we went to the Humane Society where we found an abandoned American Eskimo puppy.

She was named “Snowball” and our dog enjoyed 17 years on this planet. For me, she was a dear companion and loyal friend.   Her passing was very sad, which made me sensitive to pet loss.  Pet relationships are very special.  I

will be available to provide brief grief counseling as well as offer tips to help those of you are coping with the loss of a beloved pet.
